OwnRoute.app is operated by HousePilot, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use ownroute.app or interact with us by phone, SMS, or email — and what we do with it.

2. What we collect
We collect only the information you give us, and limited automatic data:
- Contact information you submit — name, email, phone number, and any details you include in our booking, contact, or inquiry forms.
- Communications — the content of SMS messages, emails, and call notes between you and us.
- Usage data — basic, anonymized analytics about which pages you visit (page URL, referrer, browser type) collected via our self-hosted analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
3. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule the calls you request.
- To send you SMS and email messages directly related to that conversation — confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups.
- To deliver and operate any custom system we build for you.
- To improve the website and our service.
4. SMS & messaging consent
When you provide your phone number through any form on this site, you consent to receive SMS messages from HousePilot, Inc. related to your request. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any of our messages. Reply HELP for help. Carrier message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number, SMS opt-in status, or SMS conversation content with any third party for marketing purposes. Phone numbers and SMS data are used only to deliver the messages you consented to and are not shared with affiliates or partner companies for their marketing.
5. Who we share data with
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Service providers — for example, the SMS carrier (Twilio) that delivers our text messages, our email provider, and our hosting provider. Each is bound by their own privacy and security obligations and may only use your data to provide the service to us.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our or others' rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. How long we keep it
We keep contact and conversation data only as long as needed for the relationship with you, plus a reasonable retention period for legal, accounting, and security purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see “Your rights” below).
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards — encrypted connections, authenticated access, and standard backend security practices — to protect the information you provide. No system is perfectly secure; we'll notify you if we ever discover a breach affecting your information.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See what information we have about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information from our systems.
- Stop sending you any further messages.
Email privacy@ownroute.app with the request. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA — those apply too.
9. Children
OwnRoute is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the site and, where appropriate, by email.
