Terms of Service

1. Who we are

OwnRoute.app is operated by HousePilot, Inc., a California corporation located at 2315 S Bascom Ave, Ste 300, Campbell, CA 95008.

2. Acceptance

By visiting the site, submitting any form, or engaging us to build or host a system, you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or the services.

3. The service

We design, build, and host custom lead-management and customer-experience software for home-service businesses. Specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for any engagement are set out in a separate written proposal or statement of work.

The website itself is informational. Booking a strategy call through the site does not create a contract for any work; that comes only with a signed proposal.

4. SMS & messaging terms

When you submit your phone number through any form on the site or in connection with our services, you agree to receive SMS messages from HousePilot, Inc. about the matter you contacted us about (booking confirmations, reminders, follow-ups, and operational messages).

• Frequency: message frequency varies and depends on your interaction with us.
• Cost: message and data rates may apply, per your carrier plan. We do not charge for the messages themselves.
• Help: reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email support@ownroute.app.
• Opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time to immediately unsubscribe. We do not require any other action.
• No marketing without consent: we will not send you promotional or marketing SMS unless you have separately opted in to that.

Carrier support and message delivery are subject to your carrier and device. We are not liable for delays, undelivered messages, or carrier outages outside our control.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site or service to violate any applicable law.
• Submit false or misleading information through any form.
• Attempt to interfere with, probe, or compromise the security or operation of the site or our backends.
• Use the site to harass, abuse, or impersonate any person or entity.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access source code or systems other than what we have publicly published.

6. Intellectual property

The site's content, including text, graphics, logos, and code, is owned by HousePilot, Inc. or used with permission. You may not copy or redistribute it without our written consent, except that you may share the public URL freely.

Software we deliver to a paying client under a written agreement is governed by that agreement, which generally transfers source code ownership to the client at delivery. Nothing on this site overrides a signed engagement letter.

7. Privacy

Your use of the site is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.

8. No warranties

The site is provided “as is.” We make no warranties — express or implied — about the site's availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, except where required by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HousePilot, Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the site is limited to the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Santa Clara County, California, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the site.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
